1. Finish watching To Kill a Mockingbird. As we watched, students continued to take notes on binaries in the film

2. Discuss differences and their rationale. As students discussed the differences between the film and the novel, I recorded their conversation on the board. Overall, it seemed, the novel put forward a bleaker view of humanity than the film. Part of this was due to the unfortunate appending of Dill’s character into a mere element of comic relief.
